Manga Do DVD

I`ve met Igor some years ago here in Tokyo. This city is a huge metropolis and I for one need to get away from its busy grip more often than not.

While we were having lunch in a small coffee place in Jimbocho Igor told me that he wasn`t happy. Seeing all the modern architecture swallowing at crazy speed the traditional soul of the old Edo (the old name of Tokyo) was making his experience different from what he had felt in the past.

I proposed him to join me on a photography trip on the opposite side of Japan. We found out the common love with what remains of the magic that Japan is famous for.

Fast forward a couple of years we were traveling again. When I put together the trip plan I wanted to show him some of the places I loved the most during my exploration of this beautiful country.

The result of that we saw, what we felt, and the people we met on the road is magistrally portraited in the documentary "Manga-do" by Domenico Di Stilo.

After 2 successful years around theaters in Italy, the production company “Sciara” has started a fundrasing for the dvd, shipping worldwide.
